Sarah Palin is feeling vindicated in her days-long battle with Bill Nye over climate change.
5 days ago, the entertainer and very vocal climate change spokesman best known for his TV role as "Bill Nye the Science Guy" said he's open to the idea of jailing people who deny that man-made climate change is happening on a global scale and will have disastrous effects, according to the Washington Times.
5 days ago as well, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin spoke at the premiere of the Climate Hustle, a film that brings climate change into question, and attacked Nye's credentials, according to CNN, saying "Bill Nye is as much a scientist as I am. He's a kids' show actor, he's not a scientist."
Throughout the weekend, the mainstream media focused far more on Palin's criticism of Nye, along with editorials mocking her, than on Nye's astounding call to criminally prosecute people who don't agree with him on climate change.
The Salon quote Palin posted was: "I intend no disrespect to Mr. Nye, who is a smart and dedicated evangelist for science and advocate for action to address carbon emissions. But Bill Nye is not actually a climate scientist. He is a former mechanical engineer turned television entertainer, and now professional edu-twiner."
