Rick Perry Chooses Sides, Endorses THIS Conservative Candidate

Former Texas Governor and two-time presidential candidate, Rick Perry jumped back into the spotlight on Monday when he offered a ringing endorsement of Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

“I am convinced without a doubt that on day one, this very committed conservative American will be ready to be commander-in-chief,” Perry told Fox News.

Perry was the first of the original 17 Republican candidates to drop out of the race and the 2nd to offer an endorsement of a fellow candidate.

The endorsement comes one week before the Iowa Caucuses in which Cruz and Trump are nearly even in the polls.
