Listeria, a potentially fatal bacteria, has become an arising issue with recent food recalls.

Late last year, multiple brands of cheeses and other dairy products sent out recalls for listeria, which resulted in two deaths early March of 2017.

Advanced Fresh Concepts (AFC), a corporation in California, just issued a recall on March 16th for their refrigerated Edamame (soybeans) also due to finding contamination of listeria.

According to CNN, this recall is effective in 33 states.

The product is no longer available for purchase, but if you have purchased this product, please do not consume it and return it to the store for a refund.

For more information, you can contact the AFC corporation directly at 1-866-467-8744 or recall@afcsushi.com.
