RECALL ALERT: Trader Joe’s Product Issued ‘High Health Risk’ Recall

Flagship Food Group, a global food company, recalled over 8,000 pounds of the ‘Trader Jose’s Breakfast Burritos’ on Thursday. These burritos are sold at Trader Joe’s, a nationwide grocery chain.

The recall is classified with a high health risk, known as ‘Class 1’:

“This is a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.”

According to the United Stated Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service, the recall was made after three customers complained about finding hard plastic pieces while eating the burrito.

One of three suffered a minor oral injury. Thankfully, there have been no known serious injuries.

If you have this product in your home, please take the suggested precautions:

“Consumers who have purchased this product are urged not to consume them. This product should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.”
