R&B Legend and Producer Dies in Hospital

Bobby Taylor, R&B legend and producer, passed away at age 83 on Saturday morning, July 22nd of 2017. Rolling Stone reports he died in a Hong Kong hospital where he was living for years to be treated for leukemia and tumors.

Although he was often referred to as an “R&B legend,” he was also a “producer, creator and mentor to all of the greats in the early Motown days,” a family friend told the Rolling Stone. Taylor is very well-known for his discovery of the famous “Jackson 5” with Michael Jackson.
