President Donald Trump celebrated his 71st birthday on June 14th, 2017. This marks his first birthday being in office and Flag Day, which celebrates the adoption of the U.S. flag. Trump family members wished our president a ‘happy birthday’ via social media, including his children. Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump, Eric Trump, and Donald Trump Jr. all tweeted a special birthday post for their father. The First Lady also wished her husband a 'happy birthday' on Twitter.

However, others have used Trump’s special day as another opportunity to attack him online. The Independent released an article titled, “On Donald Trump’s 71st birthday, 71 of the most alarming things he’s said.” All of the listed quotes present Trump in a negative way. The article also fails to mention his countless inspirational quotes about prayer, God, and his desire to ‘Make America Great Again’. In addition to media sources verbally attacking Trump, various Twitter users also criticized him on his birthday.

Unfortunately, Trump’s 71st birthday on June 14th, 2017, also marks the day that two shootings occurred in America: the D.C. shooting that took place at a congressional baseball practice and the San Francisco shooting at a UPS building.

Please wish President Trump a blessed birthday and continue to pray for the victims of the two attacks. Thank you!
