Over the weekend, several young adults were in Portland, Oregon doing ministry. The group was a part of Father's House City Ministries and they were simply walking along the streets, looking for people to love, bless, and pray for.
Eventually, the "Can We Help? Street Outreach" team found a group of people huddled under an awning to avoid the rain. The group talked about how much they loved music and played a song for the outreach team on their guitar. Then, outreach team member Hannah Rentfro asked if she could borrow the guitar and play the group a song.
As she played and sang a worship song, the love of God was felt so strongly that many in the group began crying and praying out. After the song, the team continued ministering to the group. That weekend, two of them went to church to hear more about God. During the initial outreach, one of the team members captured a short video of the experience and later posted it on Facebook. Since then, the video has gone viral and inspired people's faith across the United States.
According to the original post, Hannah was simply a visiting team member and it was her first time on this outreach. When she grabbed the guitar, she started singing "Reckless Love" by Bethel Music's Cory Asbury.
The chorus of the song says, "Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God. Oh, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine. I couldn't earn it. I don't deserve it. Still, you give yourself away. Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God."
After the video was shared hundreds of times, it eventually got to songwriter Cory Asbury. He reposted the video with a moving caption.
He said, "I am soooo wrecked by this video someone sent me yesterday. THESE are the people I had in mind when I wrote this song- the broken, the hurting, the not-so-perfect. Jesus didn't come to save the saved, He came to save the lost. What a beautiful display of the Father's love."

Bethel Music eventually shared the video as well. Now, hundreds of thousands of people around the world have been blessed by this moment of authentic love.
The singer in the video, Hannah, shared the video to her personal Facebook page. She said, "This is unreal. Jesus is getting every ounce of glory + I couldn't be more humbled."
