On Monday morning, December 11th, an attempted terrorist attack occurred in New York City near Times Square. Locals and tourists at the Port Authority Bus Terminal were terrified as a loud explosion unexpectedly went off.

According to authorities, it appears that the attack was meant to be a suicide bombing, but something went wrong. Authorities believe the homemade bomb may have malfunctioned.

Thankfully, no one has been reported dead as a result of the attempt. However, at least four people were injured including the suspect, who is now in custody and has been identified as 27-year-old Akayed Ullah from Bangladesh.

The suspect was inspired by ISIS and admitted to building the device, resulting in several federal and state terrorism charges, reported CNN. Apparently, his interest in radicalization started in 2014 and has been researching how to build bombs for months.

On Tuesday, December 12th, it was revealed that Ullah wrote a message for Trump just moments before the bombing.

According to the New York Post, Ullah posted the message on his Facebook page, “Trump you failed to protect your nation.”

He also wrote, “O AMERICA, DIE IN YOUR RAGE,” in his passport.

We are grateful Ullah’s planned attack did not carry out as intended.

Franklin Graham gave a very powerful response to the attempted terror attack, highlighting the importance of prayer and faith during times such as this. Read the details here.

Please continue to pray for President Trump and our nation. In other recent news, a world record-setting athlete and father of three tragically passed away.
