Popular U.S. Restaurant Chain Closing Over 50 Locations

Noodles and Company announced that at least 55 restaurants total will be closed sometime in 2017.

The company began the closure process earlier this year and has already shut down more than half of the 55 expected restaurants.

A full list of the closing locations have not yet been disclosed, but so far, it has included cities in Chicago, Oklahoma, and Pittsburgh.

The closing restaurants massively underperformed in 2016 leading to a net loss in over $70 million. Low performance was most likely due to being located in high risk areas.

Fortunately for Noodles and Company fans, the company will be opening almost 20 additional restaurants in more low risk areas. You can view their 'coming soon' locations here.
