A popular clothing retailer is proving not popular enough and will be closing more than one-third of its stores.
According to the Associated Press, Pennsylvania-based Rue21, a teen clothing retailer found in many malls, is shuttering 700 of its 1,100 stores in 48 states.
The company will focus more on online sales as mall traffic slows in the era of strong online competition.
Rue21 confirmed the news on Facebook. A list of which stores will close when has not been released.
