Popular Car Maker Recalls Thousands Of Vehicles After Airbags Suddenly Explode!

In a newly released story by the Associated Press, Nissan has announced they are recalling more than 54,000 vehicles for airbag issues.

According to the report, certain curtain and seat-mounted air bags may unexpectedly deploy when the door is slammed. Nissan of North America says it pertains to the 2012 Nissan Versas.

They think the issue is being caused after the side impact sensors are improperly wearing over time, triggering the sensor to release the airbag.

According to Nissan, dealers will gladly install new jumper harnesses and replace the side impact sensors for free.

They are urging anyone who owns one of the Versa models to call Nissan customer services at 1-800-647-7261, or visit safecar.gov for more information.

So, do you have one of the vehicles affected? Do you know someone who does drive one? Let us know!

Please share this so we can spread the word to all Versa owners and protect them.
