An armed man has opened fire on a group of Republican Congressmen in Washington. The shooting took place while the Congressmen were at a baseball practice.

Police are releasing information about the suspect shooter in the attack on Congressmen as they played baseball. They now know the man is James T. Hodgkinson.

Hodkinson is believed to be 66 years old and is from Belleville, Illinois. He was wounded in the exchange of gunfire by Capitol Police and is currently receiving care at a local hospital.

It has been reported to police by witnesses that the man asked bystanders if the baseball players practicing were Republicans or Democrats. Soon after, he opened fire on the helpless victims.

Rand Paul was also present at the practice. He told reporters shortly after that if the police had not already been on the scene that it would have been a massacre.

Please join us in praying for all the victims of the attack. We pray especially for the wounded law enforcement officers and Senator Scalise and their families.
