After a gunman opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers on Sunday in Las Vegas, 59 are now dead and over 500 have been left injured. Many people across the nation are doing what they can to help support those who have been affected by the recent tragedy.
Taylor Swift is one of many celebrities who has stepped out to show their support for the victims of the shooting. Her unexpected act of kindness has caught the attention of the media.
The pop singer sent flowers to the Los Angeles Police Department after learning one of their officers had been shot in what is now known as the deadliest massacre in U.S. History. Kimberlee Binder, a LAPD employee, shared on social media what Swift had done.
“Talk about a class act! @taylorswift sent multiple bouquets of flowers and plants to our station, as one of our officers was shot in Las Vegas last night. This is one of the smaller arrangements. Beautiful flowers can bring a smile to anyone’s face. Much respect,” Binder wrote in an Instagram post.
Swift also took to social media to share her feelings on the horrific tragedy. On Twitter, she expressed her heartbreak for the many who have been affected.
“There are no words to express the helplessness and sorrow my broken heart feels for the victims in Vegas and their families,” Swift wrote.
