On Saturday, Tim Remington, pastor of Altar Church, was giving the invocation for Ted Cruz at his rally in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho ahead of Tuesday's primary.
On Sunday, Remington was lying in the parking lot of his church, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to the Spokesman-Review, it's unclear if the two events were related. Remington, who is also the director of Good Samaritan Rehabilitation, ministered to numerous alcoholics, drug addicts, and prison inmates. The suspect is still on the loose.
Miraculously, despite being shot six times, Remington is in stable condition.
Roger Crigger reported that, “One of the bullets tried to enter the brain but stopped at the skull. …He is and will continue to be alive and serving God!”
Altar Church outreach pastor John Padula said, "[Remington] lives for God and for everybody else. He is the most selfless man I have ever met in my life When I was struggling, when I was using drugs still, he just loved the daylights out of me and helped me, as he has done for 1,700 people now who have graduated our program.”
Please pray for Pastor Remington's recovery and continued work.
