Pedestrians Hit by Van in Front of London Mosque

A van reportedly ‘veered off’ the road and hit multiple pedestrians near Finsbury Park in London, according to The Guardian. First responders acted quickly to the scene following a call on June 18th at 12:20 AM local time. CNN reported that one man has died and almost a dozen injured as a result.

This has officially been classified as a terror attack, which targeted Muslim worshippers outside of a mosque. He is believed to have acted alone and is not suspected to be a part of a larger organization. The incident follows multiple terror attacks in the U.K. recently including the Manchester bombing and London Bridge attack.

The suspect’s name also has not been released to the public, but he has been identified as a 47-year-old white male. He was arrested after the crash occurred and is being held under terror offenses.
