On Thursday afternoon, news broke that a former Disney channel star from the hit television series “That’s So Raven” was arrested on multiple charges. 30-year-old Orlando Brown, who played Raven’s friend “Eddie Thomas” in the children's’ show, was taken into custody Thursday morning.
According to TMZ, Thomas was arrested in Barstow, California after an alleged dispute with his girlfriend and her mother. Police were called and sent out to his apartment to check in on the situation.
Upon arrival, the local police department reportedly saw an active warrant for Brown and his girlfriend’s mother in the system. It is unclear what her warrant was related to, but Brown’s was from another domestic violence incident that occurred in 2016. See his newest mugshot below.
He was taken to jail on the previous charges which include battery against a spouse, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance. TMZ stated that previously, Brown had allegedly struck his girlfriend in a police parking lot; it is unknown if it was the same girlfriend from the most recent incident.
Brown was booked into the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Barstow Jail with a bail set at $25,000, reported PEOPLE. As of early Thursday evening, Brown remained in custody.
These were not the only two questionable incidents that Brown was involved in. PEOPLE also stated that in 2014, a woman claimed that Brown had threatened to kill her and her daughter. He reportedly agreed to a plea deal and paid a minimal fine. See his old mugshot below.
In addition to “That’s So Raven,” Brown also voiced a character on a Disney cartoon, “The Proud Family.” Since Disney’s “That’s So Raven” ended in 2007, Brown has not acted in any other television films.
He did not return for the Disney show's spin-off series, "Raven's Home," unlike some of his co-stars.
