Hunting is definitely in the category of "sport." But for Willie and Korie Robertson, stars of Duck Dynasty, it's more than that. It's healthy sustenance for their family.
In a recent interview with ET Online, the Robertson's share about what hunting means to them.
"I actually think he cried when I killed my first deer," Korie teased Willie. And Willie admitted it: "I did, yeah. I cry at everything. ... I was proud."
"It's really an incredible experience, it's something that you never forget," Korie shared. "You feel very powerful to be able to provide for your family in that way."
And it's the quality of food they are providing for your family that is so meaningful for them. "We're looking for the freshest ingredients and we don't want something that's been pumped up with steroids, and you buy something from the supermarket -- let's be honest, you have no idea where that came from and what they put in it to preserve it," explained Willie.
"When I'm out in the woods, I'm able to see exactly what I'm gonna eat and I know it hasn't been shot up with anything. We clean it, which is another process, and then the cooking for us has always been a process, we love that part of it."
