Obama’s “Common Sense” Plan To Stop Terrorists Will Have You Shaking Your Head

14 innocent and unarmed American civilians were gunned down by radical terrorists in San Bernardino, California this past Wednesday.  At least another 17 individuals were wounded.  While the situation was still active, suspects still on the loose, and bodies laying dead, the White House and the liberal media rushed to push their gun control agenda.

During the White House briefing on Thursday, White House press secretary Josh Earnest was asked about the president’s immediate call for gun control.  “President Obama jumped to sat that this mass shooting means its time for common sense gun laws.  Does the president really think that common sense gun laws would deter terrorists now that he has admitted these two may be terrorists?

“Yes,” Earnest replied.  Incredulously, he continued, “The president believes that passing common sense gun laws, that makes it harder for people with bad intentions to get guns, makes the country safer.”

The reporter, unsure if he heard correctly, rephrased the question.  “So, the president thinks that when there are potentially two terrorists sitting around planning a mass murder, they may call it off because president Obama has put in place common sense gun laws?”

At that point Earnest told the reporter that they are still waiting to learn what the terrorist’s “precise motives” were in massacring innocent Americans.  Watch the full exchange…

The current administration’s definition of “common sense” is troubling.  They are sadly mistaken if they think that radical terrorists hell-bent on committing horrific acts will just give up their plans of Jihad because now it is slightly more inconvenient to get a weapon.  In reality, the only people that these supposed “common sense” laws will affect are the law abiding gun owners.  Criminals and terrorists have never upheld, followed, or respected the law.  Putting additional laws in place will not change that.

America does not have a gun problem.  America has a spiritual problem, a humanity problem, a moral problem, and a common sense problem.
