Obama Defies Supreme Court, Vows Not To Uphold Immigration Laws

On Thursday, Obama’s illegal immigration policies took a major hit when the Supreme Court ruled against his executive actions that sought to allow illegal immigrants to remain in the United States indefinitely.

Despite the ruling by the Supreme Court, Obama vowed to continue his current policy of not upholding federal immigration laws, as reported by the Daily Caller. “What was unaffected by today’s ruling, or lack of a ruling, is the enforcement priorities that we’ve put in place,” Obama said.

Obama then tried to justify his inaction by basically declaring different levels of illegal immigration. “We prioritize criminals,” Obama said. “We prioritize gang-bangers, we prioritize folks who have just come in. What we don’t do is prioritize people who have been here a long time, who are otherwise law-abiding, who have roots and connection to their communities, so those enforcement priorities will continue.

If Obama isn’t willing to uphold a Supreme Court ruling, what does that say about other Supreme Court rulings that he champions, like same sex marriages for example?
