Obama Brushes Aside Clinton’s Scandals With A SHOCKING Statement
Obama reversed course on Sunday and finally appeared on Fox News, the first time that he has done so while occupying the office of the Presidency. During his long overdue appearance on the network, Obama made some questionable comments that either show ignorance to the importance of national security just plain favoritism towards his former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
Obama admitted that Clinton had been careless in managing her emails, but then tried to cover it up with a damaging statement. “What I also know, because I handle a lot of classified information, is that there are… there’s classified information, and then there’s classified,” Obama said on Fox. “There’s stuff that is really top-secret, and there’s stuff that is being presented to the president or the secretary of state, that you might not want going out over the wire, but is basically stuff that you could get in open-source.”
Obama is effectively saying that files marked as classified shouldn’t necessarily be considered classified and that government officials should be able to use their own discretion regarding whether security measures to protect the classified information are necessary in such cases.
Obama’s remarks set a dangerous tone going forward in the discussion of national security. There are clear rules in place to protect classified information and information vital to national security.
However, it is looking more and more like Obama and his administration will let Hillary off the hook for her egregious breach of security that would have cost any other person their job at least and at most would have landed them significant prison time.
Not only did Obama attempt to justify the security breaches, he claimed that his defense of Hillary is not political. “I guarantee that there is no political influence in any investigation conducted by the Justice Department, or the FBI, not just in this case, but in any case,” Obama said.
Do you believe Obama?
