While giving a speech in Elkhart, Indiana, Obama blamed conservative media outlets for the pitfalls of his presidency. “Their basic message is anti-government, anti-immigrant, anti-trade, and let’s face it, it’s anti-change,” Obama said.
Obama argued that because of conservative media outlets, “White Americans think that reverse discrimination is as big a problem as discrimination against minorities,” Obama said. He pointed to black unemployment numbers and pay differences between Hispanic women and white males as reasons why reverse discrimination is not the same as other forms of discrimination.
Obama did not disclose where he got his statistics or the basis on which they were gathered. According to Breitbart, Obama believes that Hispanic women make 55 cents to the dollar that white males make, but without a detailed comparison based on specific individuals and their specific qualifications applying for the exact same jobs, it amounts to little more than an anti-Caucasian rant.
Obama is also completely wrong about reverse discrimination. There is no such thing as reverse discrimination. There is only discrimination. Trying to separate discrimination into levels of discrimination based on race is inherently racist.
Conservative media outlets did not create the race problems that are festering in this country. They just report on the landscape that Obama created.
