A tragic story has just emerged out of the NFL after a former player strangled his mother with his bare hands. Unfortunately, his mother did not survive the incident.
New reports are now coming out about the killer, former NFL player De'von Hall. Hall is only 29-years-old and was known as a terrific football player.
He played for Utah State in college before entering the NFL. While in the league, he spent time with the Minnesota Vikings, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Indianapolis Colts. Sadly, his playing days are over.
"A former NFL player charged with killing his mother in Los Angeles earlier this year was found mentally incompetent to stand trial and ordered to be placed in a state hospital," according to a two-page minute order filed Tuesday in L.A. County Superior Court.
The sentencing comes after prosecutors evaluated Hall and found him unfit to stand trial. According to reports, the main reason Hall's football career ended was because of "concerns over unusual behavior." At this time, that "behavior" has not been released.
Please join us in praying for the Hall family during this Christmas season. We ask for God's healing grace to comfort the family as they deal with this terrible tragedy.
