NFL Player Dead at 24 After Battle with Leukemia

Mitchell Henry, former NFL tight end, tragically passed away at 24 years old on Friday, June 30th 2017. According to ESPN, he died from complications with acute myeloid leukemia. This is a rare form of cancer with less than 200,000 cases per year.

Henry played for a short amount of time with the Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, and Baltimore Ravens. The Packers and Broncos expressed their prayers and condolences via social media along with many other professional football players, fans and loved ones.

He was reportedly a Christian and is at peace with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Madison.
