Newly Revealed Email Shatters The Administration’s Official Benghazi Story

Judicial Watch, a nonprofit government watchdog, found a piece of telling evidence regarding what the government knew about the Benghazi terrorist attacks.

In an email, Leon Panetta’s chief of staff, Jeremy Bash wrote to Hillary Clinton’s top deputies, “I just tried you on the phone but you were all in with S (reference to then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton).  After consulting with General Dempsey, General Ham and the Joint Staff, we have identified the forces that could move to Benghazi.  They are spinning up as we speak.”

According to Fox News, The email was sent out at 7:19 pm Eastern time during the early stages of the terrorist attack on the American embassy in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.  While the email was sent after the initial raid, it would be hours before at least two of the Americans lost their lives in the CIA annex.

This email directly contradicts then Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s 2013 testimony to lawmakers in which he states that “time, distance, the lack of an adequate warning, events that moved very quickly on the ground prevented a more immediate response.”

We will never know if those brave Americans could have been saved with intervention and reinforcements because the administration dragged their feet in responding.  Instead, they took time to falsely blame a youtube video for inciting the terrorist act.
