We're receiving reports of multiple shots fired at Penn State Beaver outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The campus is on lockdown as police respond.
According to local CBS affiliate KDKA, at least two people have been confirmed dead. Up to 15 shots were fired.
The campus has been closed until further notice, but the university indicated on Twitter that there was no longer a threat. They said shots were fired near the Bistro dining area.
Details are scarce on the suspect. According to CBS Pittsburgh, a Pennsylvania State Police trooper said a university employee was shot on campus by her estranged husband. The husband then shot himself to death. The shooting happened at 3:41 p.m. Eastern, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
No students were injured in the shooting. The chancellor of the school hopes to have the campus open on Thursday.
