Although they have backed off in recent weeks due to a lack of evidence, the Democratic Party has been relentless in trying to find colluding between the Donald Trump campaign and the Russians. Now, reports are coming in that veteran actor Morgan Freeman is joining the Democratic Party in trying to find evidence of Trump-Russian colluding.
On Monday, veteran actor Morgan Freeman appeared in a political video and demanded that President Donald Trump directly tell the American people about the extent of Russia's meddling in the 2016 election. President Trump has, of course, already addressed accusations of Russian meddling, and has clarified that his campaign has had no direct connection to the Russian government. But Morgan Freeman is not satisfied.
"We need our president to speak directly to us and tell us the truth," said Morgan.
“We need him to sit behind the desk in the Oval Office and say, ‘My fellow Americans. During this past election, we came under attack by the Russian government.'"
The video is a part of Rob Reiner and Atlantic senior editor David Frum's new Committee to Investigate Russia. Apparently, it is a place where all relevant information is aggregated into one place to provide context and allow users to see the full picture of what is going on.
These two men, who seem to still be living in the Cold War, are starting this committee to investigate and "understand the gravity of Russia's invasion of our democracy."
The committee's board include a wide range of neoconservatives and Never Trumpers, including Max Boot, James Clapper, Norman Ornstein and Charlie Skyes.
"Russia’s meddling in the 2016 elections and allegations about the Trump campaign’s collusion with the Kremlin have dominated the national news and political discourse for more than a year," writes Breitbart News. "While no evidence of wrongdoing on the president’s or his team’s behalf has been proven, both the House and Senate Intelligence committees have launched investigations, and former FBI Director Robert Mueller is leading a separate investigation."
