According to OneNewsNow, Financial expert Dan Celia of Financial Issues Stewardship Ministries said, "To say that this brilliant marketing strategy that led to the boycott had little impact on their numbers is naïve at best.”
American Family Association’s Walker Wildmon added a faith perspective, saying, "I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this — I don't know if I've ever said it on the air — but I believe that God has had his hand on this situation from the very beginning because we've seen things happen that can only be explained by supernatural means."
He added, "Just a couple a weeks ago, The Wall Street Journal decides to circle back around just as we're needing a little bit of momentum to reach 1.5 million [boycott signatures], and the Journal devoted an entire article to the boycott of Target and the kind of internal strife going on with the CEO [of Target]."
