Vice President Mike Pence expressed concerns about the Associated Press publishing his wife’s personal email address in one of their articles.
Pence tweeted on Saturday March 4th, “Last night the @AP published my wife’s private email address, violating her privacy and our security…”
When first contacted, AP did not take down the story or even delete the email address.
Pence tweeted again later with a photo of a letter:
Mark R. Paoletta, Counsel to the VP, wrote the letter to the Associate Press President/CEO addressing Pence’s concerns of their irresponsible and unprofessional action.
He declared, “There was absolutely no reason to publish this private email address, and you should be ashamed of your reprehensible conduct.”
In the letter, Paolette mentions Karen Pence receiving ‘vitriolic and malicious’ emails after the email address was posted for the public; therefore, AP should apologize to Mrs. Pence for violating her privacy.
After so much commotion, AP eventually took the article down.
Our prayers are with the Pence family and all Trump Administration for privacy and security protection.
