Donald Trump's call for a newer, bigger wall along the entire 2,000-mile-long U.S.-Mexico border has been faced with a massive amount of support and criticism. Arguments range from feasibility to national sovereignty to human rights to unchecked illegal immigration.
But according to OneNewsNow, a pastor in Mexico says he, along with other Christians, have found a unique benefit of the barrier.
On a trip to Mexico, Mississippi pastor Terry Pierce said after meeting with local pastor Joe Torres, "He said it would honestly be the best thing for the common person in Mexico because he said too many of the Mexicans have relied on their dream being coming to America as their salvation rather than trusting in the Lord to provide."
Pierce added, "[Torres] just believes that it's going to [bring about] a cultural shift and an identity declaration for the people of Mexico that with God we've got this and that they can make their own lifestyle better by just learning to work with [the resources] where they're at."
