Megyn Kelly has become a household name since her rise to fame as a Fox News host. In the recent past, she has been making news headlines from her head-to-head battle with President Trump and her shocking move from Fox to NBC.
However, Megyn Kelly just got some bad news! After just eight short weeks, Kelly’s Sunday night show has been pulled from the NBC schedule. The show was originally scheduled for a 10 episode run. The cancellation comes after her ratings have plummeted in the recent polls.
Kelly’s show, “Sunday Night with Megan Kelly,” got off to a great start when it debuted earlier this summer. About 6.1 million viewers tuned in for her first episode, which featured an interview with Vladimir Putin. However, it seems most people were simply interested to see her question Putin.
Unfortunately for Kelly, the large number of viewers didn’t last long. Her most recent episode had only 2.7 million viewers, which is down from the 3.1 million that tuned in just a week before. With seemingly no notice, her show is now cut from the schedule.
Despite the cancellation, this is not the end of Kelly’s time at NBC. According to the New York Post, Kelly will be kicking off her new morning talk show in the Fall. The show, “Megyn Kelly Today,” is part of the “Today” franchise and will run in the 3rd hour of the popular NBC morning line up. Kelly’s show will be replacing “Today’s Take,” which is in the 9:00 A.M. time slot. Her first show is set to air on September 25th.
