Meet The New, Oldest Woman In The World

After the passing of 117-year-old Emma Morano, Violet Mosse Brown has now received the title of the World's Oldest Human.violet.jpg

Brown, has lived through both world wars and can remember back when electricity, planes, cars, and the first piped water came to her country of Jamaica, which is where she still lives today.

When asked about her secret to living a long life, there doesn't really seem to be a huge secret. "Really and truly, when people ask what me eat and drink to live so long, I say to them that I eat everything, except pork and chicken, and I don't drink rum and them things," Brown explained.

Brown spent 80 years as a music teacher and a church organist. Today, she still works hard for the Violet Mosse Foundation, which started by her granddaughter and great-granddaughter. The foundation helps care for the elderly.

Born on March 10, 1900, Violet is an impressive 117-years-old. Longevity even seems runs in her family, as her son is 97-years old.

What do you think about this story and her secret to a long life?
