A tragic story has emerged out of Hollywood. “Glee” star Mark Salling was recently found dead at only 35 years old.
Salling played “Noah Puckerman” on the hit comedy television series for several seasons.
According to TMZ, law enforcement stated that Salling’s body was found near his Sunland home by the Los Angeles River. Originally, his cause of death was unknown, but law enforcement confirmed that the actor died of suicide by hanging.
He was apparently dead for quite some time. His body was not discovered until a family member reported Salling missing and, as a result, police officers conducted a "welfare check."
This tragic news comes amid Salling’s 2015 case of child pornography where the actor reportedly had more than 50,000 images of minors. At the time of his suicide, he was awaiting his upcoming sentencing in March, which could have resulted in him serving up to 7 years in prison.
New York Daily News previously reported that he attempted suicide last year before making a plea deal. He slit his wrists, but called out for his roommate who immediately contacted 911.
After being treated for his suicide attempt, he was admitted to rehab.
This story is developing and will be updated as more details are released to the public.
Please keep Mark Salling’s family in your prayers during this difficult time. In other breaking news, an HGTV star was arrested on child molestation charges.
