September 22nd, 1955 is a day that Dave Hickman will never forget. He was 14 years old at the time and was hunting alongside his grandfather in the woods of southern Indiana when he kept hearing a small and odd noise that he couldn’t ignore.
When he went to see what was making the noise, Hickman found a small baby girl who was left there. She was wrapped in a towel and was soaking wet. Her lips were already turning blue. Hickman and his grandfather knew they had to act. They took her to the local hospital where she recovered nicely.
The story of the little baby girl made the news and she was quickly adopted. Before she went to live with her new family, Hickman was given the chance to say goodbye.
Hickman never forgot the precious little baby. He spent the next 58 years trying to find her...
