On Wednesday night after leaving a church service in Beverly Hills, Justin Bieber ran over a photographer in his truck. As the singer was pulling away from the Saban Theatre, paparazzi surrounded him.
That’s when 57-year-old photographer Maurice Lamont stepped toward Bieber's truck and was struck by the front wheel on the passenger side. The celebrity immediately got out of his truck to help the man.
Sgt. Matthew Stout of the Beverly Hills Police Department said that Bieber “fully cooperated” in the situation. So far, no citation has been issued.
After he was hit, the photographer was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. On Thursday, which happened to be his birthday, he posted an update about his recovery and the situation.
Lamont called Bieber a “good kid” and said that he was “compassionate.” He also made a joke about the truck being a little bit too big for the singer.
The “Sorry” singer seems to be off the hook this time and the photographer seems to be in good condition. Happy birthday to Maurice Lamont! What a way to start the day.
