One of the world’s most luxurious car brands is issuing a major recall. Thousands of cars are being recalled after a major flaw was just discovered.
According to reports, Tesla is recalling 11,000 vehicles for safety reasons. The recall is worldwide and is limited to the Model X sport-utility vehicles.
The news comes after Tesla also had to recall 90,000 other vehicles for another defect. In that case, the front seat belt assembly was defective and there have also been recalled for a charging defect that posed a fire hazard.
However, this recall is due to a faulty locking mechanism in their rear seats that raises the risk of the seats falling forward in a crash. At this time, no serious injuries or deaths have been reported because of the error.
“Tesla said on Thursday a small number of cables in the second row fold-flat seats in some Model X vehicles, manufactured between October 28, 2016, and August 16, 2017, may need to be adjusted to fix the issue,” according to Reuters.
