Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are Jewish. Kushner was raised in the faith, and Trump converted before their marriage. They now raise their family in the Jewish faith and even are known to really honor the Jewish Sabbath, called Shabbat, by a traditional family meal and by turning off their cell phones for 24 hours!
This, obviously, is a huge commitment for high-powered professionals now in politics. But Kushner and Trump continue to make their faith a priority, despite their incredibly demanding schedules.
Here, on her Facebook page, Ivanka shares a picture of how she was teaching her children about Purim, the Jewish religious holiday held on the 14th day of the month Adar celebrating the deliverance of the Jews from Haman by Esther and Mordecai.
It is tradition during Purim to share mishloach manot (gifts of food) that often include hamentashen--triangle shaped cookies that resemble Haman's hat or ears. God used Esther to save the Jews from annihilation by Haman.
Isn't this cool to see the First Daughter raising her kids in their faith? Let's pray that God blesses the Kushners and reveals Himself to them! Do you agree?
