Of all the attacks liberals could lob against Trump, they’re now going after him for this:
"Drain the swamp."
Because it’s an insult to Mother Nature’s real swamps.
Writing an op-ed piece for the Washington Post, an ecologist is calling it a “terrible analogy” that is “lacking in civility.”
American Association for the Advancement of Science fellow Adam Rosenblatt argues that President-Elect Donald Trump’s use of the word “swamp” turns what “should be regarded as wonderful and valuable parts of nature” into “objects of derision and hatred.”
Then after explaining extensively that draining swamps in general is terrible for the environment, Rosenblatt insists that “swamps do not deserve to be co-opted as a lazy, inept political metaphor.”
We have not yet received word from any offended swamps.
What do you think of this?
