A shooting took place in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, June 14th. The shooting occurred at the GOP’s practice for the annual charity, Congressional Baseball Game. The shooter, who was killed by police officers following the incident, has been identified as ‘Anti-Trump’ and intentionally fired on republicans. Among those shot was republican congressman Steve Scalise, who is currently recovering in the hospital.
Liberal MSNCB news host Joy Ann Reid commented on Steve Scalise's beliefs following the congressman undergoing multiple surgeries. Fox News reported on Reid’s inappropriate commenting. Fox analyst Howard Kurtz discussed the host’s ‘appalling’ actions, mentioning there was no reason for her to bring political differences to the surface in the midst of a tragedy.
Watch the video below to see the controversial MSNBC segment with Joy Reid:
Reid stated, “There’s a whole country out there and a lot of people, at least in my Twitter timeline, and it’s a delicate thing, because everybody is wishing the congressman well and hoping that he recovers, but Steve Scalise has a history that we’ve all been forced to sort of ignore on race.”
She continues to bash his political and religious beliefs, then says, “Because he is in jeopardy and everybody is pulling for him, are we required in a moral sense to put that aside in the moment?”
Please continue to prayer for Steve Scalise and his family as he recovers. Thank you!
