If you happened to be in one of the large gathering areas of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, Salt Lake City, or a few other cities on Wednesday, you may have thought you were in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. But the guttural screams and wails you heard were not issuing forth from the hapless victims of flesh-eating fiends but were rather coming from the mouths of helpless liberal activists crying out in anger for hours upon the one-year anniversary of President Trump’s election.
The event where disenchanted voters — and some people who didn’t bother to vote — were encouraged to lift back their heads and scream into the sky was actually organized, according to Newsweek. And, yes, people actually did show up to bellow their angst into the firmament until their throats were rendered raw.
Event organizer Johanna Schulman explained, "This administration has attacked everything about what it means to be American. Who wouldn't feel helpless every day? Coming together reminds us that we are not alone, that we are part of an enormous community of activists who are motivated and angry, whose actions can make a difference."
Upon hearing their agony at the scream-a-thons on Wednesday, President Trump and Vice President Pence immediately resigned from the White House in horror at the state of political discourse in America. Actually, no. The widespread protest almost went unnoticed until videos of it began to go viral.
You have to see one to believe it. Fox News featured a clip and asked conservative commentators Diamond and Silk to weigh in.
“You know, these teary-eyed snowflakes...what they need to do is stop yelling at the top of their lungs, stop throwing a tantrum. It’s not going to change the outcome of this election. They need to get behind this president so that we can move this country forward,” Diamond advised. “They need to practice acceptance.”
“That’s right,” Silk agreed, “And by the way, this is what babies do. Babies cry like that. They need to put a bottle in their mouth or change their diaper.”
Conservative media analyst Mark Dice also weighed in on the ghoulish protest and gave his thoughts on how the Democratic Party is now throwing Hillary Clinton under the bus.
Schulman added, "While the event calls upon people to scream helplessly, we want to convert that sense of helplessness into resistance, into action, and maybe even into optimism. Although it is important to acknowledge the tragedy that befell our country on November 9th, we cannot let it defeat us!"
Although election night was on Nov. 8, Hillary did not concede until around 2:30 a.m. Eastern on Nov. 9, according to the UK’s The Guardian.
What do you think about this protest? In related news, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are under fire for what they did at the Country Music Awards on Wednesday.
