Corey Lewandowski may no longer be a part of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign but according to the Daily Caller he is still very much a part of election coverage. Since his firing from the Trump campaign, Lewandowski has joined CNN as a political correspondent and offered his views on a wide range of issues regarding Trump.
During an interview on CNN by OutFront host Erin Burnett, Lewandowski revealed that prior to leaving Trump’s campaign, the list for vice president had already been narrowed down to four names. And not just any four names. “These are the absolute very best,” Lewandowski said. “They’re people that everyone will know. They’re household names. They’re people that he has said will help him achieve his legislative agenda.”
While there have been reports of people openly stating that they aren’t interested in being Trump’s running mate, Lewandowski shot down that notion. “The individuals who he is talking to about being a part of that process have all agreed that they want to be a part of the process.”
The names most often mentioned as being in contention for Trump’s VP pick include Senator Jeff Sessions, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
