After the inappropriate photo was released and the comedian faced outrage from many celebrities and fans, she is reportedly being fired by CNN and an investigation has been launched by the Secret Service, according to TMZ.

This type of action against our president will not be tolerated by the Secret Service. It is routine for an investigation to follow such actions, which will take place regardless of Griffin's celebrity status.

TMZ stated:

"Law enforcement sources tell us the Secret Service has launched an investigation into 'the circumstances surrounding the photo shoot'."

Griffin has hosted CNN's New Years Eve broadcast annually with Anderson Cooper since 2007. After releasing the disturbing photo, Griffin will no longer hold that role. Even Cooper stated, "For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate."

If you missed her apology, watch it below:

What do you think of this? Was she over the line? Should an image like this have any legal ramifications in today's world?
