It has just been announced that singer Justin Bieber has canceled his remaining 14 stops on his "Purpose" World Tour. In a statement released on Monday, the pop singer will not be carrying on with his tour "due to unforeseen circumstances."
A rep for Beiber issued a full statement which in-part read, “Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months. He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across six continents during this run. However, after careful consideration, he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”
While many of Bieber's fans are shocked and devastated after the announcement, a fellow musician has reached out on social media. John Mayer took to Twitter to show his support for the artist saying,
"When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going," John shared with his Twitter followers. "We've lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin [thumbs up] for realizing it was time to call it. You should too."
Bieber had already been on his tour for 18 months and according to TMZ he is looking forward to "Just resting, getting some relaxation. We're gonna ride some bikes." His cancellation comes after China had previously banned the singer for "bad behavior" both on and off the stage.
Although Justin does have a rocky past, he has been making an effort to turn over a new leaf. To read more about Bieber's outspoken faith in God and how he is moving forward in life, check out this story.
