Junior High Class Given SHOCKING Propaganda Assignment; Parents Outraged.

The entire world continues to reel from the cowardly terrorist attacks in Paris in which ISIS took the lives of over 129 innocent civilians.  While the free world is coming under attack by radical Islamic ideology, one Junior High School 9th grade class in Salem, Utah required their students to take part in a tasteless and downright disturbing homework assignment.

According to Fox 13, the 9th grade class at Salem Junior High School was required to draw a propaganda poster for ISIS.  The despicable assignment did not sit well with the children or the parents.  Annie Langston, a parent of a 14 year-old student, took issue with the assignment.  “My initial response was, there’s no way you’re going to do this assignment,” Langston said.  Her daughter never turned in the assignment and brought it home to show Annie.  “When I found out she kept it, I told her rip it up.”

Other parents complained as well and the entire assignment was cancelled.  The teacher and the principal both offered apologies to the parents.

How can any teacher think that this assignment is acceptable?  Ever increasingly it takes parents complaining to the schools for common sense to enter into the picture.

What do you think?  Was it just bad taste on the teacher’s part?  Or is it a sign of the changing times?
