Americans have come to know and love Chip and Joanna Gaines. The pair of home renovators has been happily married for over a decade.
Together, they host “Fixer Upper” and help other couples buy a home in need of some hard work and design advice. Chip and Joanna always work their magic and transform spaces into amazing homes that captivate audiences.
They recently announced they are ending their show after the next season. Despite the rumors, Chip and Joanna say they really just want some time to slow down and be together as a family.
"We really want to focus on this break and take a step back to let this all soak in," Joanna said. "Regardless of what the future holds, we are hopeful for what God has for us and our family in this next season."
Now, Joanna is opening up her own kitchen to fans. She showed them her favorite thing in the kitchen, her antique island.
She apparently had to search for it for years and then painted it to her liking. She topped it with concrete countertops for an industrial look that goes well with the clean and modern kitchen area.
"I probably stalked that thing for two years," she says in the November issue of HGTV Magazine. The island was found in an antique store in Waco and painted over in Sherwin-Williams' Alabaster White, according to Today.
