Jimmy Carter Says Why He Would Choose Trump For President

Jimmy Carter was speaking about the Republican race and said that if it came down to Ted Cruz or Donald Trump, he knows who he would choose.

“I think I would choose Trump,” Carter said, “which may surprise some of you, but the reason is Trump has proven already that he’s completely malleable.  I don’t think he has any fixed opinions that he would really go to the White House and fight for.”

On the other hand Carter said that “Ted Cruz is not malleable.  He has far right wing policies, in my opinion, that would be pursued aggressively if and when he would become president.”

Coming from the former liberal president, Carter’s statements sound like a ringing endorsement for the conservative Texas senator.  While Carter wasn’t legitimately endorsing any candidate, he showed people exactly why the Democrats and the mainstream media fear Ted Cruz.
