A new motion picture experience “Jesus VR – The Story Of Christ” is being released around Christmas this year. The 90 minute movie epic was filmed using special panoramic technology that will immerse the viewer completely into the ancient world of Jesus and his disciples.
As faith based films have been performing extremely well lately, the filmmakers wanted to tap into the renewed interest of faith-based entertainment. What better story is there than the story of Jesus? “The viewers truly feel they are there with Jesus and his disciples,” Director David Hansen said. “This is the most powerful story of all time and virtual reality is the perfect way to tell it.”
The immersive film covers the life of Jesus from when he was baptized all the way through his crucifixion. According to Breitbart, the movie was filmed in a lot of the same locations as “The Passion Of The Christ.”
The film is scheduled to be released on all of the major virtual reality platforms available, including Google Cardboard, Playstation VR, and Oculus Rift.
