Jessa Dugger Describes The Difficult Birth Of Her Son

19 Kids and Counting star, Jessa Dugger and her husband Ben Seewald welcomed their son to the world on November 5th.  However, the delivery did not go as planned.

According to, Jessa was not expecting the hardship that she faced.  “Labor is hard,” Jessa said, “It was very intense, very long.  Everything was different than I expected.”  When Jessa went into labor she was four days late.

Jessa gave birth at home after 48 hours of laboring.  If the labor wasn’t enough, her trials were just beginning.  During the labor, Jessa bled heavily and had to be rushed to the hospital for a blood transfusion immediately after her son’s birth.  “I had dreamed about those first moments, getting to breastfeed right away, all that.  And so when I had to go to the hospital, it was a shock,” Jessa said.

Jessa stayed overnight in the hospital.  Her and the baby are healthy.  Jessa and Ben posted a photo of the three of them on instagram.
