Jeep is recalling more than 25,000 vehicles after a mistake was just discovered. According to the reports, Jeep is targeting 2017-2018 Jeep Compass SUVs.

Apparently, there is an issue with the instrument panel backlighting that is causing concern. Chrysler has also announced the issue is under review. At this time, the backlighting in the instrument panel cannot be adjusted.

According to federal safety laws, it is required to have two different levels of brightness. If you own one of the Jeep models in question, please contact your local Jeep dealer.

At this time, no severe accidents have been reported due to the issue. In years past, laws and regulations were put in place regarding the lighting system because many drivers have complained about the bright lights making it difficult to see at night.

Jeep is asking all drivers to contact Chrysler at 800-853-1403 and ask about recall number T70 if they want to inquire about their personal vehicles being affected. Make sure you share this article with any friends you have that drive Jeeps.
