Sadly, it's become a common exchange: You learn about another tragic shooting, and the next thing you hear is about tighter gun control.
And it makes sense to all of us, on some level; none of us wants to see any more killings. Yet many are asking, "Is taking away all the guns really the answer?"
Jase Robertson, one of the popular gun-toting, duck-hunting clan from "Duck Dynasty," feels the same way. In a recent interview on The Blaze, Robertson shares his thoughts on the recent shooting and the jump to tighter gun control:
“I don’t blame them for responding the way they do because look, everybody believes this is horrible. [T]his is horrific. You respond emotionally because its unbelievable. How does this happen? What can you do?”
“I don’t hold it against people who are trying these things than I disagree with,” Jase said. “Because we are all trying to stop violence. We want people to love each-other and value human life.”
But less guns doesn't lead to more safety, in Robertson's estimation.
“In my opinion I think, the more people that are armed with good intentions, the better off you are. It just seems its giving power to people with evil intentions if they can go to a gun free area and they are the only ones with a gun.”
