Is Using GoFundMe To Pay For Your Birthday Party Going Too Far? Candace Says...

GoFundMe and other crowdfunding sites have often been used to help support people during personal tragedies or expensive medical emergencies, but on "The View" today, Whoopi Goldberg brought up some of the other things people are asking for money for on these sites — vacations, baby showers, and infant care.

And how about asking people to help fund your birthday party?

Co-host Raven-Symoné piped up in support of crowdfunding a party, asking, "Where else should I get the money from?!"

Conservative co-host Candace Cameron Bure immediately jumped in, exclaiming, "Don't throw the birthday party!"

"Everybody needs a good birthday party, sweetie, though," Raven-Symoné demanded.

"Let your parents throw it for you because they love you and want to!" Candace fired back. "You don't ask someone for the money to throw your own birthday party!"

Do you agree with her answer? Or is it OK to ask for money for anything if people are willing to pay for it?
